Getting a product manager job in this market might seem tough. It’s common to see 250+ or even 1,000+ product managers applying for a single position, like Product Manager, New Product Area @ Figma.

Out of this, realistically, only 6-8 are invited for interviews.

Every week, I review 2–3 resumes from subscribers in our premium Slack community, and I often see the same mistakes, such as:

• Profile pictures,

• Personal pronouns (I, me),

• No measurable achievements,

• Product skills (product discovery) in a separate section,

• Not aligning your resume with a specific job description.

While acing your resume doesn't guarantee success, it’s necessary to avoid rejection. About 70% of the resumes I review fail to meet basic expectations, but these issues are easy to fix.
